    Description

ReWind Electric AlNiCo III magnets have even response with less midrange than AlNiCo II and AlNiCo V types, more treble than AlNiCo II types, less treble than AlNiCo V, less compression than all other AlNiCo types, and low output.
Extremely clear and detailed. Greatest detail on the lower frets of the wound strings. Sounds like a vintage dreadnaught acoustic. Perfect for early-mid 1950’s P-90s or very early PAFs.
    Size is approximately 2.5" x .5" x .125"
ReWind Electric uses American rough cast AlNiCo magnets custom made with both exclusive alloys and processing techniques such as heating/cooling cycles and field exposures. This results in magnets with unique properties unlike other AlNiCo magnets made today, either to precisely replicate lab analyzed vintage magnets from truly amazing sounding pickups or to produce specific sonic qualities.
ReWind Electric AlNiCo magnets are shipped fully charged, unless otherwise specified, and separated by type. The North face of the magnet is marked with black ink and the magnet type stated. This black/North side is the side which contacts the slugs in a vintage PAF or ReWind Electric pickup. Vintage and ReWind Electric P-90s have the South/unmarked side of both magnets facing in, towards each other, contacting the keeper bar under the center of the bobbin, with the North/black sides of both magnets facing outward.
Magnets should be stored in groups of like types and separated by air space (at least a few inches) from other types. It is ok to store them in rows North-to-South or in bricks of rows. What's important is that they are stored in the way that they "want" to contact each other and not forced to contact each other in a way they would "want" to repel (forget this when installing in P-90s, or they won't work). Following these guidelines will help ensure magnets retain their charge as best as possible in storage.
