Minimalist adult-sized rocking horse hand-crafted in birch by Jack Roper and Robert Kierstead for their noted toy company Hancock Associates, in Hancock, N.H. This piece dated 1976. This sturdily built rocker serves as a playful sculptural element and functions as seating large enough to accommodate a 6’ plus adult.So cool!  Confirmed by the Director of Education of the Historical Society of Cheshire County, 246 Main Street, Keene, NH 03431 They wanted to have one of the rocking chairs on loan for their year-long exhibit on the history of Toys in the region but that exhibit ended in September. There is a YouTube video on line about it. It measures 26” high with a base that is 23 ½”x 11 ½” .
