The bushing material is NOT thin latex surgical tubing, as you will find in all other pickup mounting kits, including Fender's. This material is custom made to the original correct inside and outside diameter and will provide much better feedback rejection, as well as a much greater ability to spring back and not become permanently distorted, as the thin latex surgical tubing does. This material will not dry up and turn to dust, leaving your pickups squealing in the breeze!
This kit is intended for vintage-correct pick guards which have counter sunk pickup mounting screw holes. If your pick guard has flush drilled holes, this kit will still work but the screws will sit just slightly proud of flush. You can counter sink the holes on a drill press for optimum vintage-correct fit.
