Okumoto: This bone porcelain vase with clear glaze was made by the late Hawaiian ceramicist Peter Okumoto . The flowers wrap gently around the bowl of this charming vase, and I particularly love the tiny flower "stamp"  He added on the top back side of the vase. The exquisitely delicate hand-applied Plumeria flower reliefs are found throughout Okumoto's work, which is highly prized by collectors for their graceful, sweeping lines punctuated by clusters of these flowers. The Plumeria is the flower traditionally used for making Hawaiian lei's. Signed by the artist "Peter Okumomo / Hawaii Porcelain" on the bottom.
