    Soundboard Transducer pickup

This post is for 1 (one)
    new Transducer unit
This sale does not include instruments or components shown for reference purposes.
    Soundboard
    Transducer is covered by
    Takamine Electronics One-Year Limited Warranty
and will be sent with warranty registration card.
This warranty is applicable only to the original purchaser, it is non-transferable.
    Takamine's CTP-3, CTP-2, CTP-1 and CT4-DX pre-amps offer the control
and flexibility of adding a second pickup in addition to the Takamine
Palathetic pickup already factory installed in Takamine PRO-Series Guitars.
The Takamine Acoustic Soundboard Transducer is an excellent
    high-quality, hi-fidelity second pickup source.
Also view my listing for the Takamine TriAx 2 pickup, another awesome choice for enhanced tonality!
The Takamine Transducer pickup adds a whole new dimension to
the already natural sound of the renowned Takamine electronics.
    Will the Takamine Acoustic Soundboard
Transducer Pickup work on any brand of guitar?
Yes, although the Takamine Acoustic Soundboard Transducer Pickup
was designed and voiced specifically for use with the Takamine Cool Tube
and CT4-DX Preamps it can be installed on any instrument that has room
on the Soundboard to mount the transducer.
It works with steel or nylon string instruments - Ukulele, Lute, Oud, Requinto etc.

anything that has room on the soundboard to mount the transducer!
For best results avoid mounting it touching a brace, it still works but not as pristinely as it is capable of.
The Transducer will reference sound vibration energy on anything that
vibrates so it can be also used with good result on unconventional instruments!
I have one on my Musical Hand Saw, an African Kalimba and even
    on a Hamster cage!
(Look closely, the volume knob goes to “11”)!
The Takamine Acoustic Soundboard Transducer Pickup was designed to
faithfully reproduce the tone and gentle nuance's of your guitar at much louder volume levels
without the excessive feedback problems associated with using an internal microphone!
Alternative techniques such as slapping, tapping or
palm bumping the instrument are greatly enhanced!
If you are a player that likes to incorporate innovative
rhythm patterns by tapping or “bumping” on parts
of your guitar you will love this pickup!
If you are a “looper” you will want to consider this pickup!
The Takamine Acoustic Soundboard Transducer Pickup mounts with a

    peel and stick”
adhesive on to the guitars bridge plate inside the guitar
underneath the saddle area. This area of the soundboard offers the
    best
of both the string and the wood
energy directly at their source; the essential
vibrations and resonance that give a guitar its characteristic and unique voice.
    This
direct vibration from the strings and saddle allows louder stage volumes and
    faithfully reproduced “alternative techniques”
    as if the instrument were
mic'd externally but without the inherent
    problems of microphone proximity, feedback
and other instruments “bleeding” into the microphone in a live stage situation.
    ~
The transducer will be sent with a pre-wired 24" cable
that terminates with a gold-plated RCA Male plug.
The Soundboard transducer pickup is about the
size of 4 (four) stacked American quarter coins.
    ~
    Mounting Instructions:
Peel off the plastic coating from the back of the transducer and press against the
area you wish to mount the transducer in, holding it in place for a few seconds.
The adhesive is very strong you may want to do a couple “test” presses to make
sure you get the exact spot you want, removing and re-sticking the transducer
too many times will lessen the effectiveness of the adhesive.
It is also useful to move the transducer around on top of the instrument
to find its sweet spot before the plastic adhesive backing is removed.
    Transducer placement is very easy:

If it sounds good it is good!”

    Tested 100%
The item you are purchasing is inspected and tested before they are shipped to make absolutely sure everything is working 100%
Time is taken to check new product when it arrives from Takamine; electronic components pass through another more thorough audio and electronics test before being packaged and shipped.
The vintage preamps and used components sold by AddictedToToneInc pass through this same testing process.
Non electronic parts like Tuners, Nuts, Saddles are carefully inspected and tested; any part that requires assembly is assembled.
Many sellers do not possess a working knowledge of the Takamine equipment they are selling and simply send merchandise without examining the item being sold.
    As a guitarist, artist and former touring musician I understand how important this equipment is to the individual purchasing it;
most of my customers are casual players but for some of my clients the part being purchased is needed for work and making a livelihood
    - an extended downtime can make for some potentially hungry days!
My endeavors are not approached as a mere "numbers game" or how many boxes of product I can move, for me it is much more personal,
most of my clients work very hard for their money; I appreciate and respect the fact they have chosen me to do business with.
Takamine does a fabulous job with their electronics and there are very few incidents of manufacturer defect; very, very few incidents but it does happen.
It is much easier for me to check the product for the customer before it is sent rather than wasting time discovering a defective part after it has shipped; this is how I have always operated; it takes more of a commitment but my clients appreciate it – they know they can trust me to do the job right!
The testing process was originally started for the sake of my over-seas patrons but I quickly realized the value of it for all my clients!
Maybe I am just "old school" but this is the way I feel it should be done.
I have designed, created and employ special testing equipment for the Takamine preamps and electronic componentsbecause it is your reputation as well as mine at stake when you walk on stage!
AddictedToToneInc hosts a special Facebook page that specializes in the science and use of the Takamine technology exclusively for our Takamine clients.
    Thank you,

The item listed in this ad is designed to improve the tone
of your Takamine guitar or for replacing a defective component.
I can help you diagnose the problem with your Takamine system.
Please contact me before you order an item you do not actually need.
AddictedToToneInc does not accept returns because of a third parties ineptitude,

possible defects of the individual components used in the Takamine electronic system.
AddictedToToneInc checks each component for possible electronic defect
when the new product is received from Takamine and
verifies its working condition once again before it is shipped.

As you may or may not know...
Since the early 70's KAMAN Music was the sole distributor of Takamine guitars in the U.S.A.
Recently ESP Guitars and Takamine Guitars announced a partnership in which Takamine
instruments will be distributed exclusively exclusively through ESP Guitars in the U.S.A.
Because of this new chapter in American Takamine history some printed materials have yet
to be revised for the new ESP distributorship. For this reason, this sale is for transducer only,
it does not come with a “POP” Point Of Purchase glamour box.
Your Soundboard Transducer will be sent very carefully and safely packaged.
