Our Quarter Pound for Telecaster Lead is our highest output Tele single coil. Blends Gibson-like harmonics with a quarter pound punch.
The Quarter Pound Tele Lead is our highest output Tele single coil. Its special high output coil with hand polished diameter alnico 5 rod magnets deliver a huge sound with a ton of almost P90-like growl. Leads will jump out and sound fatter than ever, while chords will be rich with sparkly midrange harmonics. The perfect choice for Tele players who demand to be heard.We recommend the Quarter Pound rhythm pickup in the neck.These are hand build in Santa Barbara using hand polished diameter alnico 5 rod magnets, and Forbon flatwork. Wax potted for squeal free performance.
Best of all, with the tap option you can get a very close approximation of a true vintage Tele tone. Using the tapped coil drops the output, reduces the mids and lows, and adds that beautiful high end sparkle that Fenders are known for. I love being able to get a “true” Tele tone when I need it while still taking advantage of the raw power the Quarter Pound delivers.
