    Antiquity II
Surfer The 60's Surf For Strat
    Aged White Pickup Set
    Summary
Bright, punchy, and aged to perfection, with added output to beef up your bridge position.
    Description
The Antiquity II Surf for Strat Custom Bridge pickup is wound to have extra midrange and output for a more versatility. We wind these 50% hotter for more mids, and then slightly soften the treble attack by degaussing the alnico 5 rod magnets. It cuts through the mix much more easily than a traditional Strat bridge pickup, while still retaining that classic Stratocaster tonal character. Solos will jump out more musically, and chords will ring with the perfect amount of midrange sparkle. All Antiquity II Surf pickups are hand built in our Custom Shop, and are aged both cosmetically and magnetically to simulate the wear and tear that a pickup goes through after decades of playing. Each pickup comes with a specially aged cover, and the custom aged alnico 5 rod magnets are specifically calibrated to deliver just the right combination of chime and sweetness. The decreased magnetism means less string pull, and that means more sustain. What you get is a bridge pickup with a classic vibe and big mojo. Pair with our Surf RWRP middle pickup and Surf neck for the ultimate 60s Strat.
    Summary
This RWRP middle pickup is designed to work in combination with an Antiquity II Surf to deliver that sparkly Strat quack, in positions 2 & 4. [25 words, 146 characters]
    Description
The Antiquity II Surf reverse woundreverse polarity middle pickup will give you the same glassy tone of the standard wound Surf pickup when used on its own, but when put in combination with either the bridge or neck pickups, it will deliver that beautiful, bright in between sound that Stratocasters are so famous for. The Surf RWRP is made with the same winding spec and aged alnico 5 rod magnets as the neck model, but is reverse-wound reverse-polarity to allow for hum-canceling when used in combination with the neck or bridge. Comes with 60s style light gray bottom flatwork, vintage, blue & yellow cloth push-back wires, custom aged cover, and specially aged mounting hardware. Lacquered and wax potted just like the originals. Pair with our Surf bridge and neck pickups for the ultimate 60s Strat.
    Summary
This classic 60s replica delivers bright, glassy Stratocaster tone, with a slightly softened treble attack.
    Description
The Antiquity II Surf provides that smooth and chimey bounciness that only a Stratocaster can produce. Our specially calibrated alnico 5 rod magnets and custom scatter wound coil give the treble attack a subtle sweetness without losing any of the harmonic sparkle. Positions 2 & 4 deliver the perfect in-between quack for everything from Chicago blues to bright, jangly pop rock. Great for keeping your vintage Fender instrument looking and sounding authentic, or for giving that cool throwback vibe to a newer guitar. Hand built in our Custom Shop, each pickup is aged to look and sound like a 1960s original. We use vintage correct blueyellow cloth pushback leadwire, light gray bottom flatwork, and custom aged covers for just the right look. They are all lacquered and wax potted.Pair with our Surf RWRP middle pickup and Custom Bridge model for the ultimate 60s Strat.
This set includes three Antiquity II Surf pickups: one Surf neck pickup, one RWRP middle pickup, and the Custom Bridge hotter wound pickup.
The Seymour Duncan Antiquity II Surf for Strat would be equally comfortable in the smoky clubs of Chicago's West Side as hanging ten at the Malibu Pier. The Antiquity II Surfer is hailed by many members of the Seymour Duncan User Group Forum as the ultimate pickup for vintage Strat chime and quack. Whether you play Blues, West Side Soul, Surf, or Jangle Pop, the Surfer has the sweet highs and percussive lows to give you and your Strat a Free Ride on the Way Back Machine without sacrificing output or versatility.
The Antiquity II Surf for Strat RWRP is designed for the middle position and works with the neck and bridge pickups to mimic humbuckers in the 2nd and 4th notches of a 5-way switch.
To some, this is craziness, intentionally creating an aged electrical component. But if you're like Seymour Duncan, and you appreciate the personal commitment and hand craftsmanship found in early electric guitars, then you'll want to capture that timeless beauty with an Antiquity pickup.
