Dragonfire Power Rails passive pickups are great for everything from Classic Rock to today’s Metal. Rail style pickups provide strong string response in a variety of playing styles and help you avoid string-to-string definition loss. These humbuckers can help give you an even dynamic for sweep picking and are preferred by players who want to make sure bends and vibratos will not choke out.
The Power Rails are hot wound and use ceramic bar magnets. They produce roughly 15.8K output on the bridge and 10.2K output on the neck pickup. They are hot for sure, but back the volume down and get some nice sparkling clean tones as well.
These humbuckers are 4-wire so you can coil-split for even more versatility. For high-end performance, we recommend using 500K pots and 0.047 tone caps (available separately).

Basic wire color codes will let you know which wires are hot and which are grounds. Due to the vast and varied nature of possible set-ups, we do not provide specific information or diagrams for installation. You should be able to use the simple information we provide to match up with any diagram or instructions you choose to use. Installation requires soldering and compatible system. We provide enough pickup lead wire to complete installation wiring in standard usage situations.
