Custom Shop Texas Special Telecaster pickups are over-wound for increased output, and are made with alnico 5 magnets and enamel-coated magnet wire for outstanding presence and midrange. Nickel/silver neck pickup cover produces clear, warm Telecaster tone; bridge pickup features height-staggered polepieces and copper-plated steel bottom plate.

Here's something for you die hard Telecaster players.
These overwound Tele pickups are constructed with Alnico 5 magnets and enamel coated magnet wire.
The bridge pickup features height staggered magnets and a copper plated steel bottom plate for increased output, presence and midrange, while the nickel-silver cover on the neck pickup produces a clear warm tone that only a true Custom Shop Tele pickup can do.
From Merle to Metal, the Texas Tele will demand their attention.
Standard equipment on the James Burton Standard, Merle Haggard Tribute and many other Custom Shop Telecaster guitars.
These pickups work great with the four-way Tele Switch for parallel and series tones!
All Custom Shop pickups are constructed with cloth lead wires, fiber bobbins and are wax potted.
Each pickup is designed and hand-built by a small team of individuals in the Fender Custom Shop.
