Before Fender arrived at the name "Telecaster" in February 1951, a few hundred of the guitars left the factory with no name except "Fender" on the headstock.
These "Nocaster" guitars were hence among the very earliest Telecaster guitars.
Authentically vintage-sounding Fender Custom Shop '51 Nocaster pickups evoke the sound of those first formative instruments with that coveted signature twang and perfectly voiced midrange.
All Custom Shop pickups are constructed with cloth lead wires, fiber bobbins and are wax potted.
Each pickup is designed and hand-built by a small team of individuals in the Fender Custom Shop.
