Alnico 8 "Heavyweight" Handwound Pickup for Stratocaster Guitar

Experimental pickup! Sounds fantastic. There are hardly *any* Alnico 8 pickups on the market, so I got a hold of some Alnico 8 rod magnets and decided to try making one for myself. In the vein of my Heavyweight pickups, I decided to go for an aggressive overwind.
The result is a clear, aggressive sounding bridge pickup. A few thousand more turns of wire than my regular Heavyweight, the resonant frequency is only slightly lower, meaning that it's only very slightly darker sounding. To my ear, the Alnico 8 gives it exceptional clarity and distinction between the notes.
A unique pickup for sure. I'll probably be making more of these, but I'm not sure when, so for now this is a one-off. Comes with a tall white or black cover -- let me know after you order which one you want. Also please note that the tall covers are taller than the stock pickup covers, but not tall enough to cover the entire coil.
Comes with plastic insulated lead wires about 8" long. North Top polarity. 6-32 x 3/4" mounting screws and springs included.
