My father brought several of these decals home with him from Hawaii.  He was stationed there during WWII.
Given their age, they probably
won't work as originally intended, but they are pretty great as-is**.
I have different styles, in different sizes and will be listing them until all are sold.
This one is a larger sized decal
and the
dimensions given are from edge to edge
. Photo #4 is only a sampling of what I have and is not part of the auction.  These would look great applied to a Hawaiian ukulele or guitar.

These were manufactured by screen printing lacquer inks or paints on paper that was coated with gum arabic (the stuff you lick on a stamp). I was told by someone who used to print decals that a light spray of clear lacquer might keep old waterslide decals from cracking when soaking them in water - I didn't try it, so I can't say whether or not it would work. ( I don't know if you can even buy spray lacquer anymore. - Maybe lacquer nail polish? ).  But like I said,
they are pretty great "as-is".
